Where can I find the lowest prescription prices?
From our Prescription Advisors of course! The lowest prescription price from safe and reliable sources is not always easy to find, which is where we come in. Our custom search tools allow us to search all possible sources for the best price for you, depending on your needs. Each persons' situation is different, and each person will have a solution that works for them. For example it may make sense for you to use insurance for one medication and pay for another one with cash.
Please give me an example of how much I could save.
Sure, there are many! Levemir insulin costs as much as $550 for five pens. However, using a discount drug card, the cost can be as little as $437, which is over a hundred dollars in savings each time you make a purchase.
What is a discount drug card, and how are you different?
A discount drug card is a tool that pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) use to attract more volume through their network. PBMs thrive when they process more prescriptions because the more volume they have, the more bargaining power they have with drug manufacturers. PBMs compete with each other, and drug cards are one of the most visible ways they try to earn your business. You can find FREE discount drug cards in many locations, and in fact there are hundreds of them available. However, they all offer slightly different prices, so some cards are a very good deal, while others are less useful. As part of your buying saving solution, we may suggest one or more discount drug cards.
What is a pharmacy benefit manager (PBM)?
A PBM is a company that performs administrative functions, facilitating connectivity between drug manufacturers, pharmacies, and insurance companies. Each PBM is different and provides their own kinds of service. They are largely invisible to the end customer. But each time you use insurance, or one of those free drug cards, your order will be routing through a PBM.
What kind of customers do you work with?
We work with insured, uninsured, underinsured, young, middle aged, and seniors alike. Our comparison tools factor in a wide range of data points. We essentially work most everyone.
How do I know if I'm paying too much for my prescription medications?
The short answer is, unless you've shopped around, you probably are paying too much. Give us a call, and we will provide a free report to you where you will know for sure if you're paying too much or not.
Should I buy insurance?
This is up to you. Insurance can be helpful in some circumstances. Some people do not like insurance because they end up paying for something they do not use. High deductibles and copays can also be a deterrent.
Are you a pharmacy?
No. We research prices from many pharmacies and make that information available to you.
How else can I save money on my prescriptions?
Great question! 1. Ask your doctor to allow a generic substitution if you have been taking brand products exclusively. 2. Fill three months at a time because you will then only pay one fill fee, instead of three. Plus you'll save time going to the pharmacy and back.
